Miss you already…

“I miss you already.”

He called to say he missed her barely one-minute after she left for home, having spent a wonderful day together.  She laughed.  She found it cute.  But for him, it was something much more meaningful.

She was everything he ever wanted – intelligent and pretty, with a heart of gold.  He had met girls earlier who would qualify on his ‘criteria.’  Girls who did clear sectional cut-offs.  But every time there was something missing.  Not with her though.  Being with her made him realize what was missing with others.  The more he got to know her, the more sure he got that, strangely, he had known her all his life.  That somehow, he was expecting her to come into his life all this while.  That somehow, he needed to meet her to truly know how much he missed her.

Do you know the feeling that as if, oddly, you were waiting for someone but you didn’t know who they were until they arrived?!  Yes, that feeling.
